iOS 27 is here: what changes for CrewSync and AstroDeck (and why your older iPhone wins)

Apple released iOS 27 on September 14. Unlike the last few versions, loaded with new features, this one has a single headline: speed.
And the best part: the gain does not depend on us rewriting anything. It arrives on its own, the day you tap Update.
📱 The real win: older iPhones
Apple ran its launch test on an iPhone 11 Pro Max, comparing iOS 26.4.2 with iOS 27. Not this year's model. A phone from 2019.
The new CPU scheduler reaches every iPhone that runs iOS 27. If you have been putting updates off for fear of slowing your phone down, this time the effect tends to be the opposite.
Older hardware is exactly where it should be felt most.
- Runs on: iPhone 11 or newer, plus iPhone SE (2nd generation and later)
- Nobody left out: same device list as iOS 26
- Price: free
✈️ CrewSync: every second counts

No invented numbers. Apple only published a figure for launch time, nothing for widgets, notifications or Apple Watch. If a reliable measurement shows up, we will come back and tell you.
🧳 Crew tip
Update at home, on wi-fi, and never the night before a trip. A big system update needs battery, time and a stable connection.
Updating in the hotel at 11pm with a 5am report is asking for trouble.
