ℹ️ About CrewSync

CrewSync is an independent personal-organization tool for airline crew — designed specifically for aviation professionals (GOL, LATAM, AZUL, ABX Air and others). It has no official ties to any airline.

Main features:

  • · Roster import straight from your airline’s official source (one-tap official sign-in or PDF).
  • · Calendar, timeline, list and widget views — on your phone and on your wrist (Apple Watch and Wear OS).
  • · Duty, rest (RBAC 117) and per diem (CCT) calculations.
  • · MET Center: METAR/TAF/NOTAM/SIGMET/charts.
  • · Connections: compare rosters with other crew; Visitor Mode for family to follow along.
  • · Alexa skill: ask by voice — “Alexa, abrir minha escala”.
  • · Cloud backup, truly cross-platform (Android and iPhone see the same roster).
Feature availability varies by airline, country and platform (Android/iOS). Some tools (e.g. per diems, RBAC 117 duty calculator, Brazilian charts/NOTAM) are specific to certain carriers or regions.
⚠️ Responsibilities & important notices

CrewSync is a PERSONAL organization tool. Roster changes, acceptances/acknowledgments and report times must always be handled on your airline’s official platform — it is the only valid source for operational purposes.

  • · Roster: it is the crew member’s responsibility to keep the app on the latest version of the flight roster. Updates happen by manual request (PDF upload) or via official/SSO sign-in — an optional, beta feature — and, like any software, may contain errors or bugs.
  • · Hotel info: optional, beta feature, subject to bugs. Keep it updated yourself and get report times and pickup information from the airline’s official system.
  • · Meal Plan (GOL catering): optional use. Always import the latest version for the current month and follow your airline’s corporate rules on phone and smartwatch use at work.
  • · Meal per diems: the calculation may contain errors; the feature is optional and informational only — it is never meant to confront statements issued by airlines. When in doubt, redo the math manually. In case of divergence, do not use app screenshots to contest the airline’s statements and reports — the official document always prevails.
Features marked as beta evolve fast and may show instabilities. Found something odd? Contact support — we analyze and fix quickly.
🚀 Importing your roster

How do I import my roster?

  • · GOL: recommended: Settings → Connect to IADP (official sign-in) → the roster imports by itself. Alternatives: import via CrewLink or by PDF (from CrewLink, from your corporate e-mail or from the official app — any of them works).
  • · LATAM: recommended: Settings → Import via iFlight (official sign-in). Alternative: PDF exported by the iFlight Crew Mobile app (that one only).
  • · AZUL: recommended: Settings → Import via AZUL/CAE (official sign-in). Alternative: PDF generated by the CAE portal (cae.voeazul.com.br → Print → Save as PDF). ⚠️ Files from AZUL’s official app are not compatible.
  • · ABX Air: Settings → Import via IADP (sign in once; no PDF needed).

Whenever your roster changes (last-minute assignments, cancellations), re-import — or pull down to refresh, which re-syncs through your active connections.

Account and internet: importing requires a (free) CrewSync account and a connection — there is no offline processing. The PDF is sent to our extraction server, processed in seconds and discarded immediately — never retained nor shared with third parties. The processed roster (not the original PDF) is saved to your account for backup and cross-device sync.

My roster didn’t import correctly. Now what?

Check that the PDF comes from your airline’s correct official source and contains the needed information. If it persists, contact support attaching the PDF — we analyze it and adapt the parser.

Why are the times different from my PDF?

Import via sign-in (IADP/CAE/iFlight) brings times in each airport’s local time — the standard in official systems. Your PDF may be set to your base’s time zone (e.g. Brasília), depending on your portal settings. The app shows the same time as your company’s portal.

Does hotel info (LATAM) take long to import?

Yes — the lookup queries the portal month by month and can take over 1 minute. Keep the app open. Your roster must be imported via iFlight first.

I imported via IADP and my days off (FR) didn’t show up. Why?

Days off (FR) are events the airline publishes in the roster — they’re not “blank gaps”, but activities assigned in the system. When you import a freshly published month (e.g. next month, just released), the airline often hasn’t assigned the days off for that period yet; so those days come in empty, because the day-off event doesn’t exist at the official source yet.

Once the airline consolidates that month’s days off in IADP, just open the app (auto-import runs) or pull to refresh and the FR appear with the green card. FR recognition is identical across all sources: if the day off exists in IADP, it shows; if it didn’t, it hasn’t been published in the official roster yet.

GOL hotel: why doesn’t the hotel show the report/pickup time?

On GOL, the hotel name comes with the roster (IADP), but the report/pickup time comes from another source, CrewConneX, which only releases it about 10 days in advance. For more distant overnights, the hotel shows on the roster but without the time yet — because it doesn’t exist at the source yet. As the date gets closer (within the ~10-day window), the time is released and the app shows it after a new hotel-info sync.

IADP doesn’t bring old rosters?

Correct — it’s a limitation of the platform itself. IADP (NetLine/Crew) only keeps the active roster window (current and upcoming months) available; older months are no longer accessible there, so the app has no source to pull them from. To recover older history, use PDF import or the “Import specific period” features of iFlight (LATAM) and CrewLink (GOL) — see below.

Import older rosters — iFlight Crew (LATAM)

When you’re signed in to iFlight Crew, CrewSync can pull past rosters, not just the current month. In Settings, under the iFlight section (connected/green), tap “Import specific period”, choose the start and end month, and import. Each month is fetched and saved individually, so you can rebuild several months of history at once. Months with no published roster are skipped, and the app tells you if nothing was found for the selected period.

Import older rosters — CrewLink (GOL)

When you’re connected via CrewLink (GOL), you also get “Import specific period” to pull older rosters — up to about 2 years back. Pick the start and end month and CrewSync downloads each month’s duty plan and processes it one by one. Note: rosters imported from CrewLink do not include aircraft tail numbers (registration/prefix). Months without a published roster are skipped, and the app warns you if the whole period is empty.

Does the app bring next month automatically?

Yes. When the airline publishes next month’s roster, the app brings it automatically (IADP, iFlight and AZUL). If it isn’t published yet, the app keeps the current month normally, with no error.

🛫 iFlight Crew (LATAM)

iFlight Crew is LATAM’s official platform. CrewSync offers a fully optional integration with it, exclusive to LATAM crew. What it enables:

  • · Import the roster without a PDF, current and next month, and re-import automatically every time you open the app.
  • · Pull past rosters month by month with “Import specific period”.
  • · See the flight’s assigned crew right in the app. This used to be GOL only; LATAM crew can now see who is flying with them.
  • · Get the airline’s notices, including roster changes, in an in-app notice showing exactly what the company recorded.
  • · Bring in hotel details for the layover (hotel, address and pickup time) through the hotel portal integration.
  • · Bring in your qualifications and expiry dates (medical, recency and the like) to the qualifications screen.
Security: sign-in happens inside the app, on LATAM’s official domain. Your password NEVER passes through CrewSync, the app only receives a session token from the portal, stored on your device only. It is 100% optional: without connecting, PDF import and everything else keep working.

How do I see the flight crew?

With iFlight connected, open the flight and tap Crew. The app fetches the official list for that pairing from the portal and shows the crew in the same order the airline uses.

What do the codes in the crew list mean?

  • · CP: captain.
  • · FO/CP: first officer (co-pilot).
  • · CCM: cabin crew manager (purser).
  • · CC: cabin crew.
  • · In the WT column: OP means operating crew, assigned to work that flight, and PS means deadhead (crew travelling as a passenger on duty).

How do roster change notices work?

LATAM’s portal records a notice whenever the company changes your roster. CrewSync reads those notices and surfaces the roster change ones on screen, with the airline’s original wording. We deliberately do not rewrite it: it is the official record, and the portal states which pairing changed and the window, but not what changed inside it. Open iFlight for the detail.

I imported the roster and nothing came through. Now what?

Two things fix most cases. First, open iFlight and check whether a notice or acknowledgment is waiting for you: while something is pending, the portal may return an empty roster to outside lookups. Second, in Settings, sign out of the airline account and sign in again, since the iFlight session expires on its own. If it persists, contact support.

Does the hotel data take long to import?

Yes, the lookup queries the portal month by month and can take more than a minute. Keep the app open. You need the roster imported via iFlight first.

Smartwatch (Apple Watch, Wear OS & Garmin)

Your roster on the wrist is a Premium feature. It works on three platforms: Apple Watch, Wear OS and Garmin.

Wear OS: pair the watch (Wear OS 4+) with your phone; once you import a roster, sync is automatic — with duty notifications, check-in details and rest info on your wrist. Status under Settings → Wear OS Sync.

Apple Watch: install the Watch app (watchOS 10+); the roster syncs by itself through the iPhone, including complications.

Garmin (Connect IQ) — how to install and connect?

CrewSync is on the Garmin Connect IQ Store. Install it from the Garmin Connect IQ app on your phone (search for “CrewSync”) or from the web store: apps.garmin.com → CrewSync.

  1. Install CrewSync from the Connect IQ Store, on your Garmin watch.
  2. Open the app on the watch — it shows a 6-character code.
  3. In the phone app (already signed in), enter that code and tap Connect.
  4. Done — your roster appears on the watch. The watch stores only a device token (no login/password).

Which watches are compatible?

  • · Apple: Apple Watch running watchOS 10 or later.
  • · Samsung: Galaxy Watch 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 & FE (including Classic and Pro models).
  • · Google: Pixel Watch 1, 2, 3 & 4.
  • · Other Wear OS 4+: OnePlus Watch, Mobvoi TicWatch, Xiaomi Watch 2 and similar models.
  • · Garmin (Connect IQ): see the full list below. If your model isn’t listed, reach out with your watch model.

The compatible list grows as new watches are released.

Sync problems?

  1. Check that the watch app is on the latest version — on Wear OS the update is usually manual: open the Play Store on the watch, go to “Manage apps” and update CrewSync. If there’s no update button, uninstall and reinstall on the watch.
  2. Check that the watch is connected/paired to the same phone (Bluetooth on — on the watch, Settings → Bluetooth).
  3. Open the app on the watch and, on the phone, pull the Home screen down to force a new sync.
  4. Wear OS: the watch receives a 3-month window (previous, current and next month) — older rosters are not sent to the watch by design (saves memory).
  5. Under Settings → Wear OS Sync you can see the last successful sync and force a new one.
  6. Still stuck? Restart both devices and contact support.
☁️ Account, backup & cloud
  • · CrewSync account: sign in with your personal e-mail and a password you create in the app (Firebase Authentication + Cloudflare protection).
  • · Automatic backup: once signed in, your rosters and profile are saved to the cloud transparently. New phone or reinstalled? Sign in and everything comes back.
  • · Truly cross-platform: Android and iPhone share the same data.
  • · Smart merge: on login the app compares local and cloud data — empty cloud gets your local data uploaded; empty app gets the cloud downloaded; both with data get merged.
  • · Erase cloud data: in Settings, “Erase Cloud Data” removes your whole backup without touching the phone.
  • · Delete everything: on iOS, Settings → Danger Zone → “Permanently delete account”; on Android, Settings → Advanced options. Removes your data from the cloud and the authentication server.

More on security and data protection under Privacy & data.

👥 Connections & Visitor Mode

Connections let you compare your roster with crew colleagues and family — always with consent on both sides.

  • · CrewSync ID: every signed-in user gets a unique ID (e.g. NAME-XXXXXX). Share yours to connect.
  • · How it works: on the Connections screen, search your friend by ID and send a request; they get a notification to accept.
  • · Roster comparison: once connected, tap your friend’s name to compare rosters — shared days off, overnights on the same day and flights together.
  • · Privacy: comparison only exists between accepted connections. Remove a connection and the other person immediately stops seeing your roster.

Visitor Mode — for family and friends

  • · Non-aviation people (spouse, family, friends) download the app and pick “I’m a visitor” on first launch.
  • · The visitor creates an account (e-mail + password), searches your CrewSync ID under Connections and sends a request — you accept and that’s it.
  • · They follow your roster in a friendly view with simple icons (flying, day off, hotel), in real time.
  • · No sharing limit — and you can remove a visitor anytime, cutting access immediately.
📊 Statistics & Community

The Statistics screen offers a deep view of your career, with personal metrics and insights from the crew community.

My statistics

  • · Main metrics: flight hours, duty hours, flights operated, deadheads (DH), unique airports, aircraft (by registration and type) and countries visited.
  • · Period filter: select one or more months to analyze a specific stretch of your career.
  • · Operational analysis: which weekdays and times of day (early morning, morning, afternoon, night) you fly most.
  • · Geographic analysis: most frequent routes and airports + countries visited.
  • · Achievements and milestones: Ponte Aérea, Brazil region explorer and more.

How are the hours calculated?

  • · Hours flown: the sum of each operated flight’s time (excludes deadhead/DH).
  • · Total duty: from the start to the end of each day’s duty (includes ground time, connections and standby) — that’s why it’s naturally much larger than hours flown.
  • · Use the “All” (∞) filter for the total across all your rosters, or “Period” for a specific range.

Note: on international flights crossing several time zones, the duration may appear slightly different from the real one — we’re improving this calculation.

Community (Premium feature)

  • · How it works: when you sign in, your rosters are sent anonymously to the community statistics. Every signed-in user contributes; viewing rankings and averages is Premium-only.
  • · Averages: compare your metrics with other crew — by airline (GOL, LATAM, AZUL, ABX) or overall, and by month.
  • · Anonymous rankings: see where you rank in hours, flights and unique airports. Everyone else appears as “Anonymous Crew”; only your row shows your photo and CrewSync ID.
  • · Privacy: only operational data, 100% anonymous and aggregated. Name, e-mail and photo are never shared.

Fun fact: some aggregated community numbers are public — see appcomin.com/crewsync/stats.

🏠 Home screen

The Home screen opens on today and tomorrow, with your flights, the duty bar and the shortcuts you pick. Under Settings → Home screen you can change what shows up there: duty bar, aircraft track, top shortcuts and the trip view.

Show the whole trip

With this toggle on, instead of today and tomorrow the screen shows the whole trip (the pairing), from the previous day off to the next one. It is meant for multi-day pairings, where the layover and the hotel fall off screen in the normal mode.

  • · What separates one trip from another is the DAY OFF published on the roster, not passing through your base. Five turnaround days in a row, sleeping at home every night, with no day off in between, are ONE five-day trip. Likewise, a midnight crossing that gets home at dawn and leaves again at night is a single two-day trip.
  • · Reserve, standby, training, meetings, medical exams, deadheads and layovers do not break the trip. Falling between two flying days, they belong to it.
  • · Vacation and medical leave do break it, just like a day off.
  • · Days are shown separately, and the header shows the period, how many days the trip has, which one you are on and whether it has a layover.
  • · A flight crossing midnight stays on its report day. Reported Jul 31 at 23:50 and landed Aug 1 at 02:00? The flight shows on the 31st, whole, without splitting the trip in half.
  • · Month turnover: a trip that starts in one month and ends in the next only shows in full with both months imported. If one is missing, the app says so at the top of the card instead of showing a shorter trip than it really is.
  • · A day with no flight behaves as always. Days off, vacation, medical leave, training, reserve and standby keep the today/tomorrow format even with the toggle on.

Where to turn it on: Settings → Home screen → "Show the whole trip". Same path on Android and iPhone, and the choice applies to that device only.

It ships off. Crew who only fly turnarounds gain nothing from it and the screen just gets longer, so the default stays today and tomorrow.
📅 Calendar & export
  • · Monthly grid: the whole month with colors by category (flight, deadhead, day off, training, standby, reserve, medical…).
  • · Timeline: each day on a vertical scale with precise times — great to see exactly when each block starts/ends.
  • · Tap a day for details + shortcuts (check-in, MET Center for the flight’s origin/destination…).
  • · Sync with your device calendar: CrewSync creates its own calendar named "CrewSync" in Google Calendar or the iPhone Calendar and keeps your roster there automatically. Your personal calendar is untouched, and you can hide or delete that calendar any time. This is the recommended route: it updates itself on every import and supports report-time alerts.
  • · .ics export: generates a file with your roster for any calendar app. It is a SNAPSHOT: it does not update afterwards and does not carry the report-time alerts. For an always-current roster, use the sync above.
  • · Share as image or PDF: select dates with flights and events and export a clean sheet for WhatsApp and social media.
  • · Manual time editing (delays, early starts, holding): on iPhone, tap the flight and edit it right there. On Android, roster editing is done from the watch (Wear OS). Either way the scheduled time is preserved, and the corrected one is what feeds rest calculations and the widgets.

Alerts before report time

Once your roster is synced to the device calendar, you can ask for reminders before each report time. It ships off; when you turn it on, pick two lead times (default is 24 h and 2 h, with options from "None" up to 48 h).

  • · Where to turn it on (Android): Settings, "Sync with device Calendar". You can also reach it from the "…" menu on the Calendar screen itself.
  • · Where to turn it on (iPhone): Settings, "Calendar Sync", "Alerts" section.
  • · New rosters arrive on their own: import via IADP, iFlight, CAE or PDF and the calendar adjusts about 2 seconds later, with updated times and cancelled flights removed. No need to open the sync screen. Same when you edit a flight time.
  • · Current month onwards: syncing covers the current month and future ones. Past months already in your calendar stay there untouched, but are not rewritten: old rosters do not change, and rewriting years of history only drained the battery.
  • · Counted from REPORT TIME, not from departure. A 1 h alert for a check-in on Aug 1 at 00:50 fires on Jul 31 at 23:50.
  • · One pair of alerts per duty, not per flight. Only the first leg has a report time, so a four-leg day gets two reminders instead of eight.
  • · No alerts for: ground activities (days off, training, standby) and flights from your personal logbook.
  • · Changed your mind? Changing any option re-syncs right away, because the alarm lives inside the event. Turning it off removes the alarms already created.
The alert is fired by your own device calendar, not by CrewSync. That is a good thing: it works even with the app closed or killed by the battery manager. But it also means it follows your calendar app notification settings: if the "CrewSync" calendar is muted there, the reminder will not arrive.
On iPhone the alert syncs to iCloud, so it also shows up on Apple Watch, iPad and Mac. On Android the CrewSync calendar is local, so the alert stays on that device only.
Odd number on Android: opening the event in Google Calendar you may see something like "180 minutes before" instead of "2 hours before". That is correct. The Android API only accepts "N minutes before the event start", and the event starts at departure, so N already includes the gap between report time and departure. On iPhone you see the exact alert time.
Sharing tip: the generated sheet (image or PDF) uses the month currently on screen — navigate to the month you want before tapping Share.
📝 Flight notes

Add a personal note to any flight (reminders, crew, hotel, observations, etc.). There are two ways to open it:

  • · Stats → Tools → My Notes: see all your notes in one place. Search by text, flight number, route or date; tap to expand; and copy, share, edit or delete any note. Use the + button to add a note to any flight in your schedule.
  • · From the Home screen: tap a flight to open its details and add the note there.

Your notes are automatically synced to the cloud, so they appear on every device signed in to the same account and are kept even if you reinstall the app.

Notes work offline too — they’re saved on the device and upload as soon as you’re back online. Available on iPhone and Android.
🗺️ Routes map

On the map you explore your routes and airports clearly, by day, month or full period — with filters to show only what you want.

  • · “Extra crew” (DH) routes drawn separately, distinguishing domestic from international flights.
  • · Export the map as an image to share with colleagues on WhatsApp and social media.
  • · METAR layer: colored icons over each aerodrome with the latest report (wind, visibility, ceiling, runway conditions). Tap an airport for details.
  • · SIGMET layer: warning areas for turbulence, icing and storms, each hazard in its own color — tap an area to see its properties.
🌦️ MET Center (weather)

A complete center of weather and aeronautical information for planning and monitoring, in real time. Sources: REDEMET (redemet.decea.mil.br), AISWeb (aisweb.aer.mil.br) and CheckWX — ABX crew use US sources (NOAA): PIREPs, Winds Aloft, G-AIRMET.

Available tabs

  • · 📋 Briefing: pick a flight of the day for the full route briefing — decoded METAR and TAF for origin and destination (wind, visibility, ceiling, runway) + active SIGMETs along the way.
  • · ℹ️ Info AD: current aerodrome conditions with weather image, temperature, humidity, visibility, ceiling, sky, wind and active warnings.
  • · 📄 NOTAM: active NOTAMs for the aerodromes (AISWeb) — runway restrictions, navaids out of service, works, temporary procedure changes.
  • · 🗺️ Charts: AISWeb aeronautical charts (IAC, SID, STAR, ADC…) full-screen with zoom.
  • · 📊 Meteogram: interactive hourly forecast charts (temperature, dew point, wind, ceiling) up to 48h.
  • · 🛰️ Satellite: animated satellite imagery of the flight region, with playback, slider, zoom and pan.
  • · 🌩️ SIGWX: significant weather chart — fronts, turbulence, icing, thunderstorms and jet streams.
  • · 🔍 Search: METAR/TAF/warnings for any airport by ICAO or IATA code, with operational status (VFR/Marginal/IFR).
  • · Automatic integration with your flights of the day for instant briefing — one-tap access from any flight on your roster.
  • · Automatic SIGMET detection along the planned route.
  • · Destination weather forecast for your landing time.
Data is informational only and does not replace the official briefing.
🛰️ Aircraft radar (aircraft track)
  • · Aircraft track on the Home screen: when the imported roster includes the aircraft registration (IADP, iFlight Crew or CAE integrations), the next-flight card shows where your aircraft is coming from, with a live progress bar and an arrival estimate. The track appears in the hours before your flight, as soon as the aircraft takes off toward your boarding airport. Premium feature.
  • · Tap the registration: tapping the tail number (e.g., PR-XMA) on the flight card opens the aircraft lookup already searching for that registration.
  • · Look up an aircraft (any registration): under Statistics, Tools tab (Android) or Stats, Tools tab (iPhone). Type the registration with or without a hyphen. The app shows whether the aircraft is airborne or on the ground, the route, altitude and speed in metric units, the landing estimate and the position on an interactive map with the route drawn, updating live every 30 seconds.

When the track shows up (and when it does not)

It appears automatically, based on the real situation of the aircraft:

The aircraft is flying an earlier leg toward your boarding airport (e.g., it came from Porto Alegre)The track bar appears: "Coming from Porto Alegre, lands ~07:40", with a live progress bar.
The aircraft is already on the ramp at your airport (it stayed overnight, common on the first flight of the day)Nothing shows. With the transponder off there is no signal, and the aircraft is already there, so there is no track to show.
The aircraft is flying another rotation (a route clearly heading elsewhere)Nothing shows. The app hides the info to avoid confusion.
The roster does not include the registration (PDF-only import)Nothing shows. The track depends on the registration, which comes from the official integrations (IADP, iFlight Crew, CAE).
The aircraft is outside ADS-B coverage (e.g., over the ocean)The track may not appear or may vanish for a few minutes. This is a limitation of the collaborative network, not an app bug.
  • · "No signal" is normal: the position comes from collaborative ADS-B antenna networks (adsb.lol, ODbL license) and, when those networks do not see the region, from Flightradar24. An aircraft on the ground with the transponder off, or in areas with no coverage at all such as stretches over the ocean, may still not appear. In those cases the app retries on its own every few minutes.
  • · No operational value: the data is only for personal tracking. Official times and status always come from the airline.
📱 Widgets & Live Activity
  • · Widgets (iOS and Android): add them to your home screen to quickly see the next flight (number, origin, destination) and upcoming flights. They update automatically.
  • · Live Activity (iPhone): countdown to your next flight on the lock screen and Dynamic Island.
🛏️ Rest & duty (RBAC 117)
  • · Rest calculator: based on RBAC 117 (the Brazilian fatigue regulation). Enter data manually or pull from the imported roster — calculates the minimum rest after the flight and the next available report time, in a ready-to-show format.
  • · Duty calculator: enter report time, number of legs and crew type to see the maximum allowed duty and minimum required rest.
  • · Searchable legislation in the app: Law 13,475 (Aeronaut’s Law) + current CCT.
  • · Also available on the watch (Apple Watch and Wear OS).
⚠️ These are support tools. Always confirm with your company’s official source before any operational decision.
💰 Per diems (CCT)

The Per Diems screen automatically calculates, from your roster, the meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper) you’re entitled to under the current Brazilian aeronauts’ CCT — including the base rule (overnighting at your own base doesn’t count).

  • · The calculation covers the flight period (between check-in and check-out); reserves and training count too.
  • · Breakfast only counts while in flight (check-in/check-out window), not during overnights.
  • · Always up-to-date values: if the CCT changes, the app updates itself. Tap the ℹ️ icon on the Per Diems screen for current values per meal and the CCT reference.
  • · Period filter: look up previous months or custom ranges.
  • · International flights: shows the per diem earned in USD, without breakdown (varies by country, currency and airline policy).
Time zones: under Law 13,475/2017 and the CCT, meal windows are counted in your contractual base time (GMT-3 at Brazilian airlines). Imported rosters (PDF or official sign-in — IADP, iFlight, CAE) carry each airport’s local time, the airlines’ system standard; the app automatically converts that time to the base time zone before evaluating each meal. Even so, the values are a cross-checking reference: the official one is on your payslip/company system. In case of divergence, do not use app screenshots to contest the airline’s statements.
🕓 Itemized Hours
ℹ️ Diagnostic tool — available for GOL, LATAM and Azul. Itemized Hours shows your flight time split by period. It is a reference pre-analysis (diagnostic), not your payslip and not the Salary Calculation. Always confirm on your company’s official system.

See how many hours you flew in the month and how they split between day, night, Sunday and holiday — and compare your published roster with the executed one to know whether you gained or lost hours.

PlatformPath
AndroidStatistics › Tools › Itemized Hours
iPhone (iOS)Stats › Tools › Itemized Hours

How the screen works

  1. Month selector: use the arrows to move between the months you have an imported roster for.
  2. Flight time in the month: the total flight hours (block to block) adding up all legs, with the number of flights and your base.
  3. Buckets by period: bars showing how much of the total fell into each band — day, night, Sunday (day and night) and holiday (day and night).
  4. Cross totals: total night (all of it), total Sundays, total holidays and, if any, the deadhead included.
  5. Published × Executed: import the PDF of your published roster (or mark the current roster as published) to compare line by line and see the balance — gained / lost.

How each period is counted (on this screen)

  • · Flight time: block to block for each leg, classified in YOUR base’s time zone.
  • · Night: flight between 6pm and 6am in the base time zone. Since every Brazilian base is GMT-3, that matches the legal 9pm–9am UTC window — the same one the Salary Calculation uses.
  • · Sunday / Holiday: by the date in the base time zone. A holiday that falls on a Sunday counts as a holiday.
  • · Deadhead (positioning on duty) counts as flight time.
  • · Holidays, and this depends on your airline: at GOL it counts national holidays + Corpus Christi, because GOL pays Corpus Christi at double rate (verified on a real payslip) even though it is an optional day off under federal law. At LATAM and Azul only national holidays count: they have their own agreement and we do not yet have a payslip proving otherwise. Carnival and Ash Wednesday count at none of them, nor do state/municipal holidays. The Salary Calculation (GOL) also adds your base’s regional holidays.
⚠️ This screen shows clock hours (a diagnostic). It uses the same night window and the same Sundays as the Salary Calculation, but it does not apply the 1.125 factor, the 54h franchise or the Sunday/holiday double — so it does not replace the payslip.

Published × Executed

The published roster is the month’s original (usually the one that arrives in your corporate e-mail). The executed one is what you actually flew. Comparing the two shows whether operations made you gain or lose hours.

  • · Import the published PDF: reads the PDF without changing the executed roster already saved in the app.
  • · Use the current roster as published: takes a “snapshot” of the roster as it is now and keeps it as the published reference.
This screen shows only the hour difference between the published and executed rosters (what you gained or lost). It does not indicate which roster will be paid — that depends on your company’s rules and collective agreement.
💡 Tip: mark/import the published roster at the start of the month, before operations change your schedule. The first roster of the month is the natural candidate for “published”. This marking is kept here, in Itemized Hours, and is the same reference used by the Salary Calculation (GOL).

What’s the difference from the Salary Calculation?

Both screens read the same roster but answer different questions. Itemized Hours shows clock hours by period (a general diagnostic, for any airline). The Salary Calculation (BETA, GOL only) turns those hours into money, following GOL’s payroll rules. The two screens speak the same language on hours: same night window (6pm–6am of the base), same Sundays and, if you are GOL crew, the same holidays (national ones plus Corpus Christi). What is left different is the base’s regional holidays (only salary adds those) and the pay rules (the 1.125 factor, the 54h franchise and the Sunday/holiday double, which only salary applies).

In short: use Itemized Hours to check and compare your hours (and mark the published roster). Use the Salary Calculation to estimate how much will land in your account. The “published” reference is shared between the two.

Reminder: neither screen is your payslip. They are tools for personal use, may contain errors, and must not be used to contest amounts with HR/Payroll nor as proof of income. The official document is always the company’s payslip.
💵 Salary calculator — why not yet?

One of the questions we get the most! The feature is under review — but with a lot of care before any release. Here’s why:

  • · Each airline is a different reality (GOL, LATAM, AZUL — we would start with GOL), each with its own rules and CCT.
  • · The math isn’t as direct as it looks: flight hours (or km) are paid in the second month, on top of bonuses and variables that change case by case.
  • · Any value shown would be an ESTIMATE for the crew member’s own expense control — never a substitute for the payslip, nor a basis to confront the company’s HR.
  • · The experience of other apps that tried shows the risk: imprecise calculations create doubts, unnecessary HR disputes and frustration — because it’s not always clear it’s just an aid tool.

That’s why we prefer to mature the feature well before shipping. If (and when) it comes, it will make the estimate-only nature crystal clear — starting with one airline at a time. ✈️

🍽️ Meal Plan (GOL)

Check the on-board catering of each flight, including items planned for crew and passengers. Exclusive to GOL crew — the meal plan is an internal company document, distributed periodically.

How it works

  1. Receive the meal plan PDF from GOL and import it in CrewSync from Settings — or by opening the PDF straight from the file manager.
  2. CrewSync processes the PDF and stores the data on the phone.
  3. Your roster’s flights are automatically cross-referenced with the plan, showing only the catering for your flights.
  4. With a Wear OS watch connected, the filtered data goes automatically to your wrist.
  • · Roster changed? The cross-reference is redone automatically — no need to re-import the meal plan.
  • · New plan version: import the new one; the previous one is fully replaced. Always keep the latest version received.
Data is informational only and does not replace the airline’s official documents. Using your phone/watch at work must comply with your company’s corporate rules.
🗣️ Alexa

Install the CrewSync skill on Alexa and say “Alexa, abrir minha escala” — works on any Echo device or in the Alexa mobile app. (Voice commands are currently in Brazilian Portuguese; an English version of the skill is on the way.)

How to link

  1. In CrewSync: Settings → Integrations → Alexa → Generate code (6-digit PIN).
  2. In the Alexa app: More → Skills & Games → search CrewSync → Enable for use.
  3. Open the skill Settings (gear icon) → Link Account.
  4. Enter your CrewSync ID and the 6-digit PIN. Done!

Something went wrong?

  • · Invalid code: generate a new one and use it within 10 minutes.
  • · Alexa says it has no roster: open CrewSync, import the month’s roster and sync.
  • · Alexa keeps asking to link: the token may have expired — disable and re-enable the skill in the Alexa app.
  • · Missing a command? Send your idea to contact@appcomin.com — it might become a skill command.
💳 Premium & payments

I switched from Android to iPhone (or vice versa). Did my Premium disappear?

Your data migrates normally (roster, profile, connections, statistics) — but the payment is processed by the store where it was made (Google Play OR App Store) and is not transferable between them. It’s a limitation of the stores themselves. How to solve it:

  1. Cancel the old subscription: Google Play → play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions; Apple → iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions (or apps.apple.com).
  2. Request a prorated refund (optional, before subscribing in the new store): Google: support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637 → “Request a refund” (justify: platform change). Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com → “I can no longer use this service”.
  3. Subscribe in the new store: in the app, Settings → Premium Plans.

Lifetime purchases follow the same principle (valid in the store where they were bought). Need help with the refund request? Talk to us and we’ll put it together with you.

I bought Lifetime but the subscription keeps charging!

The stores don’t cancel the old subscription automatically. The app warns you and takes you straight to the cancellation page — or cancel manually in the store’s subscription center (links above).

🔒 Privacy & data

CrewSync was designed with a focus on security, privacy and compliance with Brazil’s data protection law (LGPD).

  • · What we NEVER do: scraping, accessing internal systems without your explicit consent, or storing corporate passwords. Airline systems are private property — official sign-ins (IADP, iFlight, CAE/SABRE, CrewLink) happen on the airlines’ domains, inside the app.
  • · Your CrewSync password is stored encrypted (Firebase Authentication + Cloudflare) and never travels in plain text.
  • · Your roster data is provided and controlled by you. You can erase the cloud, sign out or permanently delete the account anytime in Settings.
  • · Community statistics use only operational, anonymous, aggregated data — name, e-mail and photo are never shared.
  • · LGPD rights fully respected: access, correction, portability and permanent deletion.

Frequently asked questions

Does the app work offline?

Yes. Once imported, your roster works offline. Importing, boarding gate status, flight crew lookup, weather and sync require a connection — and a few other features may occasionally ask for internet.

Is CrewSync official from my airline?

No — it’s an independent app, with no ties to GOL, LATAM, AZUL, ABX or any airline. It’s a PERSONAL organization tool: the official roster is always the one in your company’s system. Confirm reports, flights and times on the official platforms.

Are the per diem values official?

They’re calculated from the current CCT as a cross-checking reference. The official value is the one on your payslip/company system.

Why do I need to sign in to import my roster?

The (free) account stores your roster safely in the cloud: if you switch phones or reinstall the app, nothing is lost — and Android and iPhone see the same roster.

Some features don’t show up for me. Why?

Availability varies by airline, country and platform (Android/iOS). Tools like per diems, the RBAC 117 calculator and Brazilian charts/NOTAM are specific to certain carriers or regions.

When I sign in with my official login (IADP, CrewLink, iFlight, CAE), does the airline know I checked my roster?

Access happens with your account, directly on the airline’s own official systems — to the company, it’s a normal access by you, equivalent to opening the official portal or app. Like any corporate system, it may keep access logs; what each airline records or can distinguish is its own internal decision, outside our reach. What we can guarantee on CrewSync’s side: it sends no extra information to the airline, notifies no one, and only fetches your account’s data when you open the app or pull to refresh.

If there’s a notice/notification and I viewed it through CrewSync, does the company know I saw it?

The background notice check only queries the list — it doesn’t open anything, doesn’t mark as read and doesn’t acknowledge on your behalf. Read/acknowledgment confirmation only happens when you yourself open the notice on the airline’s platform (inside the app or on the portal) and their system records it — exactly as it would in the official app. CrewSync never confirms reading on its own.

Does CrewSync calculate salary?

Not yet — the feature is under careful review (each airline has its own rules and CCT, and any value would always be an estimate). See the full reasoning under Salary calculator.
